I knew that Phil was not at this year's ANG Seminar.  If he had been there, I would have known.  He was hard to miss.  I missed seeing his entry in the exhibit.  I should have known there was only one thing that would keep him from being there.  

Phil was an ardent supporter of ANG, seminars, and the seminar exhibit.  He was also an excellent stitcher.  

Each ANG Exhibit will be less exciting without his entries and his presence.

He also exhibited at the 2014 Shoreline Stitchers' Showcase where he earned Best of Class for his petit point entry.

Phil was absolutely a good Man. Before he retired, he was a member of our Optimist club (North Highlands Optimist). Phil devoted hours and hours supporting children causes. 
He was known well as "Santa".  Every year he was in great demand by numerous organizations and would attend several in one day. He never wanted to disappoint a child. On his last night as a club member, he donated his entire Santa outfit to our Club with the hope we could continue where he left off. We have had 6 different folks use his suit to entertain children every year!
We also have one of his Needle Point hanging on our living room wall.
Phil Bush was absolutely a good Man!

Phil Bush.... What a wonderful, optimistic, caring, fun man!! He was one of my most unforgettable characters...he taught me to "dream big", to become more than I thought I could ever be and supported me each and every step of the way!! He lived every word of our Optimist Creed especially having a "cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile".  He will live in that special place in our hearts that only he can fill.  We will think of him often and remember his unforgettable friendship.
