Inez Mae Jackson was born Inez Mae Silva in Kalopa, Hawaii on January 28th, 1938. She was adored by her parents Arthur and Victoria Silva and she was the middle of three children (Elsie and Earl). She met her soon-to-be husband, Jerry Jackson while she was attending college in Honolulu and Jerry was stationed there in 1958 for the Navy. They were married the following year on January 17th, 1959, at the Kalopa Church and were married for 58 years until Jerry’s passing in 2017.
Jerry and Inez had three daughters (Pam, Vicki and Laurie) when the girls were old enough Inez went back to work in the school’s cafeteria. Inez enjoyed her job and retired in 2003 from El Dorado High School as the “Lunch Lady”. She will always be remembered for handing out cookies to the Football Players.
Inez enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, traveling and flying. Inez got her Pilot’s license in 1982 and was a member of the Ninety Nines International Organization of Women Pilots.
Inez leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Pam Craig (Ron), Laurie Putnam (Chris) and Vicki Little. Five grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 16th, 2021 at 11:00 am at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home 2855 Cold Springs Road, Placerville, CA 95667.
