Guy Winton

November 4, 1921 - December 27, 2010

Guy “Lee” Winton, while at his home in Placerville, went home to be with the Lord December 27, 2010. Lee was preceded in death by his 3rd wife Roseleigh in 2009. Loving father of Linda (Jack) Aydelott, Gary (Gloria) Winton and Eric (Mardi) Winton and step-father of Carrie (Mark) Wieland, Cheryl (Ken) Pierce and Michelle Krueger; Brother of Don (Donnie) Winton and Lorraine (Bill) Farnham; Grandfather of DeWayne, Jackie, Denise (Deceased), Leisa, Peter, Daisey, Drew, Fran, Darin, Patricia, Madison, Katelynn, Christopher, Samantha, Timothy, Paul, Jese, Serena, Tiffany, Floyd, Chance and Cruz; Great Grandfather of 14.

Lee was a proud Veteran of WWII and a pilot in the Army Air Corps. He was most recently a security guard at Gold Bug Park in Placerville and very active in local AA groups, celebrating 46 years of sobriety this year. Lee was an outdoorsman and loved to camp and especially fish.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville. Private interment will be held at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville. Friends may sign a guestbook and leave condolences at www.chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
