Donald Woodbury Davis, 96 years young, flew to Heaven on January 28, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was born on July 4, 1927, in Jamestown North Dakota and lived there until joining the Navy during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he took employment as a civilian photo lithographer for the Navy and remained in that position until retirement. He married Hattie Walker, and they had 5 children. He and Hattie moved to El Dorado, California after his retirement.
Don, or Dave as many called him, loved adventure. He climbed Mt. Whitney twice and also climbed Telescope Peak. Don was an animal lover, adopting many cats, some of them handicapped, from a local animal shelter. He provided a loving home for all of them. Don was an enchanting storyteller and talented writer. Family loved to hear his tales of younger years growing up in a small town. Life was always exciting for him, and he spread that joy to others. He was a man of faith and truly loved The Lord. All who loved and cared about him will miss his presence on earth.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."
