Clarence Bledsoe passed away peacefully on May 15, 2012 in Folsom CA. He is preceded by his wife of 69 1/2 years, Marguerite Everts Bledsoe. He is survived by his daughter Carol (Bob) of Camino, CA; three grandchildren, Mark (fiancee, Kari), Lori (John), Shellie (Dave ) and thirteen great grandchildren, Ryan, Tanner, Austin, Paige, Travis, Jessica, Morgan, Madison, Julie , Chad, David, Brad and Amy. Clarence is also preceded in death by his older siblings, Juanita and Woody.
Clarence was born in Oklahoma, on April 13, 1918. He moved with his mother and siblings to California during the dust bowl and the great depression. He met and married his wife Marguerite Bledsoe and they had their only child Carolyn. He enlisted in World War II and served in the Army Air Corp. He lived in Santa Barbara, CA and worked for GTE/Verizon- (Redondo Beach to Santa Maria, CA). He retired in Santa Ynez Valley and spent years enjoying time with friends and family. You could always find him on the golf course with his wife or in a pastry shop in Solvang. He was a kind and loving man, a father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will surely be missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30th from 5 till 8 pm at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville.
