Clair was born on August 2, 1929, to Eugene and Clara Bishop in Maskell Nebraska. After Claire graduated from a one room school in Maskell in June of 1946. He joined the United States Army Air Corps that same year. He went on to study economics at University of Nebraska.
After graduating with a BS degree in economics, he started his first job at Travelers Insurance Company as Management Trainee, kickstarting a 45-year career.
In April 18, 1957, Clair married Frankee Gene Bauer and went on to have 3 children, Robert, James and Patrick.
In 1983, Claire retired and spent his time playing golf, tennis, sailing running a small farm at Apple Hill with his wife and was dedicated member of the Episcopal Church.
Services will be held at the Episcopal church, Lord of our Savior on April 1 at 11:00 AM.
