Beverly was born in Bakersfield, CA on June 8, 1928 to Joseph and Dorothy Brink. She moved to El Dorado County with her parents and older sister, Marjorie in 1941. She attended El Dorado High School and so enjoyed the Alumni gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Darrington, her sister, Marjorie Hutchison, and her son Randall Nichols.
She leaves her son Don Nichols (Laura) of Walla Walla, WA, son David Nichols (Donna) of Lotus, CA, daughter Christy Arsenith (George) of Georgetown, CA, son Dick Celio (Vickie) of Winnemucca, NV, son Tom Celio (Chris) of Lotus, CA, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a second on the way. Her greatest joy was her family to whom she devoted her life.
Beverly had five children attending Ponderosa High School at one time. It was no small feat to keep them all clothed and fed and yet her table and home was a place where friends were always welcomed. Beverly became “Mom” or “Grandma” to many. She was often in the stands cheering one of her family on in their sports, and her children remember in the early 1950’s, they cheered her on as she played first base on the woman’s baseball team in Placerville.
Beverly was a resident at El Dorado Care Center the past two years.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
