In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Glenn W. Neuf (Mary Joyce) and his sister Jean N. Thomson (Frank). He is survived, and fondly remembered, by many nieces and nephews.
He was placed in various positions by Goodwill industries, Wayne was always happy to be working, and proud of the work he did. Despite his challenges, he also looked for opportunities to help others. He was one of the "founding fathers" of the Millvale Little League Association. As a member of Christ Lutheran Church, he was involved in many charitable projects through their outreach ministry called "Men In Mission". And because of his contributions as a volunteer, especially during the summer street fairs, the Millvale Volunteer Fire Dept. inducted him as an honorary member. Wayne was rewarded for all of his efforts when, just before retiring at the age of 65, he received the William M. Usdane Award, given annually to recognize "people who transcend severe disabilities on the way to outstanding achievement".
In retirement, Wayne enthusiastically cheered on the Pirates and Steelers!
Friends will be received Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:0 PM until time of services at 2 PM at the Healy-Hahn Funeral Home Inc. 512 Grant Ave. Millvale.
