Mrs. Vivian M. Staniszewski Gesler

after a brave battle with breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, Vivian (80 years young) passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012. She was a loving mother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Gesler, loving mother of Mary Ann (Frank) Weaver of Volant, Pa; Barbara J. (Ken) Miller of Wexford, Pa; and Nancy J.(John) Creedon of Roanoke, Va.

Her love, care, and compassion molded the lives of her six grandchildren, Frank H. (Amy) Weaver, Jr. of New Market, Md.; Mary Christine (Brian) Fleeger of Volant, Pa.; Jason C. (Michelle) Creedon of Stafford, Va; Dr. Kimberly A. (Brad) Leeman of McCandless, Pa.; Natalie J.(Wesley) Cunningham of Eastampton, NJ; and Patrick K. Miller and his bride to be (August 25, 2012), Stephanie Tomasetti of Ohio Township, Pa; and ten great-grandchildren Grace, Lily, and Frankie Weaver; Robert and Ann Marie Fleeger; AJ and Jordan Creedon; Samantha Leeman; and Cadence and Camren Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her parents Christ and Mary Staniszewski.

She was a creative woman of great personal strength who spent many hours involved in arts and crafts, bingo at the senior center in Avalon, family weekends at Conneaut Lake in Meadville, Pa, and time with all of her grandchildren. Her desire was to teach her family and give them the strong roots and the wings to go into the world and succeed.

Friends received Tuesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon 412-766-5600, where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday 10am. Interment to follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
