Thomas James Miller Sr.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, of 55 years, son Thomas (Gabriella), his daughter Julie (Jim) James, and his grandsons, Christopher, Andrew, Ethan, and Emmett. He was preceded in death by his brothers William and Walter, his sister Audrey, and sister-in-law Gert Miller. He was a loving brother-in-law to Jane Miller, Mart Martinchich, Lois (Raymond) Hoff, May (Donald) Blough, and Alyce Kampmeier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Tom attended the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He attended Stevens Institute of Technology and completed his MBA. He joined Westinghouse and retired from there after 33 years. He served as a scoutmaster of Troop 16 (Livingston, NJ) and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Tom loved to play golf and watch sports, especially the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. He liked to go camping and visit the shore, where you could always find him enjoying the waves. Tom was extremely loving and proud of his wife, children and grandchildren.

Friends will be received Thursday August 3, 2017 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at HP Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., Ross Twp., 412 364 4444. A mass of Christian burial will be Friday August 4, 2017 at 10am at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Interment will be at Christ Our Redeemer cemetery.
