Sandra Ann Sperling, affectionately known as Sandy, peacefully passed away at the age of 92 on August 12, 2023, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on January 28, 1931, in Bronx, New York, she was the cherished and the only child of Harry and Rose Harz of New York.
Sandy's life was one filled with love, devotion, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was united in marriage with the late Hyman Sperling and together they embarked on a journey that would leave a lasting legacy. The couple moved to Levittown, NY, where they lovingly raised their three children - Holly, Lori, and David. Sandy was widowed in 1983. Despite the challenges life presented, she displayed remarkable resilience and strength. In her retirement from her dedicated service at Williamsburg Bank in Levittown, Sandy decided to begin a new chapter in her life. She relocated to Cranberry, PA, where she continued to touch the lives of those around her with her warm spirit and infectious laugh and time spent with her famIly.
Sandy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harry and Rose Harz, and her devoted husband, Hyman. Left to cherish her memory are her three children - Holly, Lori, and David. Sandy's legacy is further carried on by her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her hugs and endearments of "Cookie".
A graveside funeral service to celebrate the remarkable life of Sandra Ann Sperling will be held at 11 a.m. on August 23 at New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, NY. As we gather to bid farewell to this incredible woman, let us remember her with smiles, laughter, and the countless memories she gifted to us all. Sandy's kindness, love, and devotion will forever be a beacon of light for generations to come.
