Russell E. Ulmer

Russell was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church (Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish).

He was a retired school teacher for the Chartiers Valley School District and a math professor at the University of Pittsburgh. He also worked for AT&T Lucent Sales, and Western & Southern Insurance Sales. He was a locomotive train enthusiast and enjoyed a good game of golf.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Susan M. (Organ) Ulmer of 23 years; his two sons, John R. (Jodi) Ulmer of Buffalo, NY and Steven E. (Pia VanHanen) Ulmer of Seattle, WA; 6 grandchildren Alyssa, Andy, Dalton, Dennis, Stella, Scarlett; his sister Mary (Allan) Kautz of Murrysville and sister-in-law: Eloise Tacik.

Russell was preceded in death by his first wife, Mercedes (Jackson) Ulmer.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc. 1032 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 13, 2021 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (formerly known as St Teresa of Avila). Entombment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
