Robert H. Wood

of Sewickley Hills, passed away July 6, 2014 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Hilda C. (Pauloski) Wood;

loving father of Sandra (Tom) Letourneau, Robert A. (Kathleen) Wood and Denise Hartle; grandfather of Heather Cronin, Emily (David) Sadd, Robert John Wood, Kelly Wood, Travis Hartle, Chelsea (Chris) Baden and the late Dale Savage, Jr.; great-grandfather of Mackenzie, Bradyn, Trevor Savage, Cuyler, Reiley & Kaeden Cronin, Elaina, Noah, Andrew, Molly & Margaret Sadd, Fay Alivia & Caleb Baden; great-great-grandfather of Baleigh Eden Savage.

Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served in WW II. Each year he took great joy in traveling the country to attend the annual reunion of the USS Gridley with his shipmates. He was an active member of the Franklin Park Baptist Church as well as the Keenagers. For 22 years he served as the mayor of Sewikley Hills Boro and prior to his retirement he was employed by US Air.
