Born in Bellevue, Pennsylvania on July 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Harry N. and Mary May Irvin. Robert met the love of his life, Charlene while attending Slippery Rock University where he earned his undergraduate degree in education. Robert and Charlene were married for 62 years. He graduated with a master's degree in administration from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for the North Hills School District for 35 years.
Robert was a visionary leader in his profession and a source of strength, warmth, and guidance to his family. He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the Army. Robert was predeceased by Harry N. Irvin, Mary May Irvin, and Harry Irvin Jr. He is survived by his loving children Mae Beth and Marie Anne; his granddaughter Bailey; his son-in-law, Robert; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Full military honors will take place at 11AM Monday, July 11, 2022, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
