Richard “Rich” J. Tripoli, 72, of Ross Township, passed away Tuesday November 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 8, 1949 in Pittsburgh to the late Vincenzo and Frances (Vancheri) Tripoli.
Rich retired as a software engineer after 32 years working at Verizon. He attended Christ Church at Grove Farm. He had restored his 1967 candy apple Red Mustang, he enjoyed renovating the houses in which he had lived, he would take his family camping, and loved going to the casinos.
Rich will be remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle and friend.
Rich is survived by his wife of 47 years; Joanne Scalise Tripoli, his two sons; James J. and Richard “Rick” J. Tripoli of Pittsburgh, his brother: James C. (Alicia) Tripoli of San Diego, his sister; Stella Andolina of San Diego, his sister-in-law; Nancy Tripoli of Ross Township, and his little sister; Ginny Everard of Freedom, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Rich was preceded in death by his brother Al Tripoli and his brother-in-law; Tony Andolina.
A life celebration service will be announced at a future date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc. 1032 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
