Dear Uncle Rick , 
I am finding it very difficult to write this to you . I am still in tremondous shock . I always hoped that someday I would have the chance to tell you face to face how much I loved you .  You were there for me when I was a child , you comforted me through stressful times and continued to give your love and support to me. I always looked up to you . When I was a child I hoped that I would marry someone as loving and wonderful as you ! You were like a Father figure to me .  You had so much love for your wife ,children and family . I will always remember you and have a special place in my heart for you . I promise you that someday I will find the happiness you so wanted for me and my family .

Being the ring bearer in you and Suzie's wedding is a memory I will cherish forever.  Every holiday and visit you guys made out to Beaver County was always anxiously awaited for because we knew with every visit there would be another story we would be telling for years to come.  I am shocked and greatly saddened at your passing, Rick.  I look forward to meeting up again further on up the road.

You left me too soon, but I know you did not have a choice. Though you are gone physically, I know you are with me in spirit. When I asked God years ago for my special someone, He sent you, and the next 36 years have been a blessing and a joy. My true better half is gone and I can't help grieving, but also thanking God for all those amazing years together. You made me a better person and I will never stop loving you Rick, my one and only. Stay with me always until the day I meet you in heaven.

I am going to miss you so very much. In my heart is a pain that will never go away. You were the shoulder that everyone leaned on...our rock. When times were tough and we were suffering, you lifted us up and told us to be strong. And because of your strength, we were able to make it through. You always worried about all of us. I swear to you, even though we are hurting so very much right now, that we will do our best to be strong for each other. We will make it through this so please rest easy. Your work here is done. 

You were a great man with a big heart, and the best father a son could ever have asked for. You will be deeply missed, loved, and remembered in our hearts and thoughts forever. 

It is your time now, to rest and enjoy the reward for the life you led and the people you touched. Be at peace. Go with God.

Rick helped me in Duquesne when I hired out. He made the hard work easier for me and I will always appreciate that. He also came to the rescue of his fellow workers when they were charged with some infraction without regard to what the ramification would be to himself. A Good and honest man in a world of less stature
