Norbert P. "Tek" Teklinsky, age 75, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at his residence. Born January 28, 1949, in Windber, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Teklinsky) Primrose. Tek was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in Viet Nam, receiving two Purple Hearts. He was an avid sports fan, attending home Steeler games with his season tickets. Tek was passionate about his vintage muscle cars, taking his 1969 Roadrunner to local car shows. He was a retired postal carrier with the United States Postal Service, before working for the United States Post Office, he was an arborist, having worked for Davey Tree. He was active with the 'Walk for Diabetes', which raises money for juvenile diabetes with a walk from Erie to Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; Katherine (Boggs) Teklinsky; one son; Ryan (Heather) Teklinsky; and two daughters; Dawn and Keri Teklinsky. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Kylie, Vinny, Max, Luke and Patrick; one brother; John (Christine) Primrose and four sisters; Geraldine Gross, Maryanne Wallis, Eileen (Tom) Fitz and Frances (Dan) Brace.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A Catholic Blessing service, followed by military honors, will take place Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
