Maureen was born in the North Hills to James and Mary Lou (Stack) O'Brien, where she would grow up and raise her own family. She is survived by her siblings Mary Kukovich (Barry) — who had the joy of working with her every day — Dan (Margee) of Oregon, Jim (Loretta), Rose Haley (Jim) of New Mexico, and Anne O’Brien of Oregon.
She was a faithful and loving mom to her children, Brad (Laura) of New York, Jenine Pyle (Tom), and Danielle. She adored her grandkids Micah and Alicia Pyle, and Harold and Francine Smith. Her family was her pride and joy.
She was beloved by nieces and nephews: Josh (Amy), Bridget (Om), Tim, Jon (Jess) O’Brien and Hannah O’Brien Perez (Dani); Scott Haley and Laura Haley-Bailey (Christina); and Keegan (Sarah) and Brandon O’Brien.
Maureen had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that would light up a room. She always enjoyed a good game night and was a fan of all things British Isles — from novels to television. She loved her quirky cats Schmiggy and Pita. Her loss will be felt every day by the family and friends who treasured and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggestions donations to Ross/West View EMS, Perrysville Fire Dept. or Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 5–8 p.m. Contact family members for more information.
