Mary Patricia Orr, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dedicated volunteer, passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and grace that touched the lives of many.
Mary Patricia, most known as Pat, was born on July 10th, 1929, and grew up in Greenfield, PA. She dedicated much of her life to volunteer work, passionately supporting causes dear to her heart such as Kane Hospital and The Association for the Blind. Her interests included modeling at Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry and The Lutheran Home in Zelienople, playing cards, and traveling.
Above all, Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She leaves behind two sons Garrett and James, and James’ wife Sonya. Grandchildren, Michael Orr and his wife Lauren, Andrew Orr and his wife Rachel, and Jackie Orr. Great Grandchildren Jace and Avery Orr.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at H P Brandt Funeral Home, Inc, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt Caramel Parish-St. Teresa of Avila Church 1000 Avila Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. An interment will occur Friday, June 28, 2024 at Allegheny County Memorial Park, 1600 Duncan Ave, Allison Park, PA 15101.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Midwife Center of Pittsburgh 2831 Penn Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15222, midwifecenter.org in Pat's memory. Gary has worked there since 2006.
