Mary Ann Lozovoy

Mary Lozovoy, age 92, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 21, 2024. Mary was the wife of the late George Lozovoy. Mary is survived by her children, Mary Dilla (Jim), Sally Lozovoy, Helen Lozovoy, George Lozovoy (Mary Lee) and Greg Lozovoy (Sue). She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary was the daughter of Joseph Patera, who died when Mary was a young child, and Mary (Andrews Patera) Verbish and John Verbish. She was the sister of the late John M. Verbish.

Mary was a proud 1954 graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she studied Home Economics. Mary taught Home Economics in various schools in the Pittsburgh area.

Mary volunteered for many years at Allegheny General Hospital and was a past member of the Allegheny General Auxiliary. Mary was a kind and loving individual, always willing to share her knowledge with others. As such, Mary prearranged to have her body donated to a local medical school. There will be no visitation, but a celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
