Marlene J. Vogel, age 88, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at UPMC McCandless. Born September 25, 1936, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Richwein) Urschler. She was an active member and a Deacon at Northmont United Presbyterian Church, and with the Silver Sneakers, she loved camping with her camp community at Vacation Land, she was an avid bowler, having bowled in a league for many years, and was truly admired by her community and neighbors. Marlene worked as a crossing guard for years for the North Allegheny School District, and previously worked for the Vincentian Home as a nurses aide for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Raymond Vogel Sr., and one son, Raymond Vogel Jr.
Marlene is survived by two daughters; Barbara Vogel-Dickson, and Linda (David Mickail) Vogel; one daughter in law; Debi Vogel, five grandchildren; Melanie (James), Tara, Danny (Dena) and Jennie (Casey), David (Diane), thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister; Patricia (Robert) Thomson.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4-8pm and on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 12 noon until the time of a funeral service at 2pm at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
