Mark T. O'Mahony, age 61, of Pittsburgh, died on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at his residence. Born August 22, 1958, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Noreen (O'Connor) and the late John O'Mahony. Mark was a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration, also from the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a Quality Engineering Manager in the steel industry for over 30 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons and a daughter in law; Ryan O'Mahony, and Brendan O'Mahony and his wife Sabrina; one granddaughter; Nora O'Mahony. He is also survived by his former wife of over 30 years, Candace O'Mahony, as well as one brother; Gary O'Mahony, and two sisters; Linda Menendez and Barb Lawton.
Mark was a passionate and dedicated father, grandfather, and husband who loved nothing more than spending time with family and showing support to his sons. Mark was an inspiration. He displayed his work ethic and dedication to his family throughout his life. Mark attained his MBA while working full time and raising a young family. Mark was a kind, compassionate, and supportive father. He loved coaching baseball, cheering during football games, teaching his sons to ski and supporting them to pursue their passions.
Mark "Omer" was a legendary local skier who was known for his talents and graceful style in the moguls and glades. He loved spending time outdoors whether it was skiing, mountain biking, golfing or snowmobiling. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
