Margaret S. Stroble Young, 89, of Wexford, PA, formerly of Alpha, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Born: September 30, 1921 in Papa, Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Lidia Nemeth Stroble and Julius Stroble. Personal: Her beloved husband of 64 years, Franklin E. Young, passed away on January 27, 2011. Mrs. Young attended Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, NJ. She was employed at Pembrooke Swimsuits in Easton, PA. She was a talented and creative seamstress. Margaret was proud of her Hungarian heritage, and loved cooking and baking. She was renowned for her homemade pies and Hungarian baked goods. Memberships: She was an active, lifelong member of the United Presbyterian Church of Alpha, NJ, where she served as an Elder and was a member of the church choir. She also served as the church secretary, and was a member of the Ladies Friendship Circle. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Young Roth and her husband James of Wexford, PA; and her granddaughter, Lindsay; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Stroble, and a sister, Yolan Cook. Services: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Ave., Alpha, NJ. Interment will be held at the United Presbyterian Cemetery in Alpha, NJ. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
