Margaret Traynor (Dudra) was born May 23, 1925. Growing up in the North Side of Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Dudra. After marrying, Margaret settled with her husband Robert Traynor (U.S. Navy) of 44 years in her beloved bungalow in West View, PA.
Margaret was always an independent, strong, witty, fun, loving, go-getter. She was the first of 9 children to learn how to drive and purchased her own car. During WWII, she filled in for the men at war as a welder. After the war, she took on entrepreneurship and opened her own beauty shop.
Margaret was an avid reader, devoted Steelers fan, enjoyed swimming, staying active, and most of all spending time with her granddaughters and great granddaughter. She was a great support and guiding light for her family. Full of wisdom and good advice, she was always there when needed. She truly enjoyed the simple things in life – family, friends, a trip to the local supermarket, and some good old-fashioned country music.
Margaret is forever remembered by her daughter, Michele (Stephen) Romanias; her granddaughters Stephanie Hillegas (Weston) and Michaela Ehrlichman (Paul); her great granddaughter Maevelyn Margaret Hillegas; her nephew Frank Traynor (Pauline); and other loving relatives and friends.
Considering current circumstances, services will be private.
Donations in Margaret’s name and memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
