John A. Vanderslice, on Monday, December 12, 2016, age 94, a resident of St. Barnabas Community for over twelve years, formerly of McCandless Twp. John was a veteran of WWII, having served in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Cornell University. Prior to his retirement, he worked as the director of Food Service Management for the Jewish Home and Hospital. Beloved husband of 70 years to late Dorothy R. Vanderslice; loving father of Elizabeth, John, Susan, Robert, and Kle; proud grandfather of 13; and great-grandfather of 16. Friends will be received Friday from 10am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Richard’s Parish. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
