Joe Chesley Pohlman

JOE C. POHLMAN On Monday, May 12, 2014, age 88 of McCandless Township these past 58 years, originally of Wichita, Kansas. Loving husband of 64 years to Patricia "Patti" Pohlman. Devoted father of Patricia Barth (John) of Springfield, VA; J. Kipton Pohlman (Mary) of Charlotte, NC; Penelope Noll (Wayne) of Silver Spring, MD; and the late Stephen C. Pohlman (surviving wife Christine) of New Kensington. Proud grandfather of Collin, Aaron, Patrick, Emma, Alex and Sarah. Joe is also survived by a sister, Gay, and brother, Jack.

A veteran of World War II, Joe served on the USS Wisconsin in the South Pacific from 1944 to the war’s end. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Kansas State University and an M.S. at Illinois Institute of Technology. Joe spent most of his long career as an independent consultant and was known internationally for his expertise in high-voltage transmission lines.

Family and friends are welcome to visit with family at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Twp. where a memorial service will take place Friday at 6 PM. Burial will follow at a later date in Wichita, Kansas.
