Passed away on May 19, 2014. Fred was born March 22, 1930, in Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Dinter Taylor of Spring Garden/Troy Hill in 2006; and infant daughter, Pamela Sue Taylor in 1961. Fred and Irma were married for over 54 years. He is survived by daughter, Jill Taylor Spero and her husband, Andrew Spero; and granddaughters, Christina Taylor Spero and Lucy Taylor Spero, all of Hoover, AL, formerly of Wexford, PA. Fred grew up in Mt. Oliver and graduated from Brentwood High School in 1948. He was a car enthusiast all of his life and loved attending car cruises throughout the South Hills in his 1967 Chrysler Newport. Once back "home," he returned to his former job as a stationary engineer at Equitable Gas Energy until retirement. During his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time at Option Automotive assisting his friend, Jay, the owner. The family thanks all of Fred's friends and neighbors who were always so generous with their time and assistance during the past eight years. There will be no visitation.
