Eunice A. Zotter Matthews

Eunice A. (Zotter) Matthews, 88, of Avalon, formerly of Manchester, on Friday, August 30, 2013. Beloved wife of the late William J. Matthews; sister of Randall L. (Peggy) Zotter, and the late Walter J, Joseph W. and Ruth Zotter; aunt to Linda, David (Stacy), Randy (Leslie), Paul ( Nina) , Craig, John (Amy), Alison, Andrea, and the late Walter J. Zotter and Jo Ann Dimling. A graduate of Allegheny High School in 1944, Eunice was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of her family, friends and neighbors. Old timers will remember Eunice working at Zotters the family bakery on Beaver Ave., in Manchester. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of North Hills Health and Rehab Center and Heartland Hospice for their devotion and care of Eunice.

Friends received Tuesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon, 412-766-5600. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10am at the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mt Troy. In lieu of flowers donations suggested to Assumption School, 45 N. Sprague Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15202.
