of Cranberry Twp, PA, formerly of Cleveland, OH passed away on August 30, 2012 after suffering a debilitating stroke. She was 92 years old. Born (1920) and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky, she was the most devoted wife of the late Sam Taylor and a beautiful example of a godly woman, wife and mother to her three children, Tom Taylor (Barbara), Alice Shupe (Tom) and Judi Rexford (Tom). Her priorities in life were her faith in Jesus Christ, her family and friends. Filling her home with laughter, love, and music she was also known for her warmth and graciousness to everyone she met. Having lived much of her adult life in Euclid, Ohio, she worked as a teacher and administrator at the Nursery School located in Shoregate Methodist Church. She was gifted with a melodic contralto voice, received a degree in music from Depauw University and Northwestern University, and was the contralto soloist at Epworth-Euclid Church (now University Circle UMC) for many years. She knew how to interact with pure joy and delight with her grandchildren, Ben Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Kate Shupe Leech, Emma Shupe Flaugher, Sam Shupe, Eli Rexford. She was the foster grandmother to April Pozniak Mangen (Jason) and Foster Great Grandmother to Abby Pozniak, Keyan Pozniak, and Jewlina Mangen. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Noah Flaugher, and Elizabeth Owen Leech, her namesake. A Memorial Service to honor her life will be held at Salem United Methodist Church, 350 Manor Rd., Wexford, at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20.
