Elaine and I attended Presby Nursing school together.  She lived across the hall from me at MCNR.  I was always impressed with her intelligence and her goal of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist.  At that time I didn't even know what a Nurse Anesthetist did.  Years later I followed in her path to Nurse Anesthesia and once again was impressed with her scope of knowledge and teaching skills as she was my clinical instructor in Cardiac Anesthesia. 
Years and miles have come between us, but I will always remember Elaine for the sweet, dedicated individual she was.

Elaine and I were friends and colleagues for over 40 years and we shared many of the transitions in the Anesthesia community.  She was a dedicated teacher and always made herself available to share her knowledge and wisdom to anyone that was interested in learning.  
She was very determined to reach her goals in life independent in her medical recovery.
She will be in my prayers.

My sympathy to the family. I worked with Elaine at UPMC, and she was dedicated and hard working. I left the area 18 years ago, but remember her for her kindness.

Elaine was one of the most dedicated individuals that I ever worked with at Presby. It was an honor to be her student and eventually a coworker. What she did for the nurse anesthesia program could never be duplicated. She will be missed by all who knew her. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
