Curtis John Ferri

Curtis "Curt" John Ferri, age 63, of Ohio Township, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 19, 2018. Loving husband of 42 years to Kathy (Reith) Ferri; devoted father of Danielle Crane (Brandon) of Emsworth and Stefanie Becker (Justin) of Sewickley; proud Pappy of Gabriella, Ronan and Isabel; son of the late Mary and Leo Ferri; brother of the late Kenneth Ferri; son-in-law of Kathy and the late Ed Reith, and brother-in-law of Ed Reith (Patty), Stephanie Scheerbaum (Don), Jacqueline Rice (Mark), David Reith (Kelly) and also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until a Celebration of his Life service being held at 1:00 p.m. at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444). Curt loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed sports, golf, listening to music on his backyard patio, working in his yard and spending time with his grandchildren. His greatest source of pride was the home he built with his wife Kathy at his side, where they raised their two beautiful daughters, Danielle and Stefanie. Curt was a hard worker and provided for his family as a union carpenter, working out of Local 211. He leaves behind a hole that will never be filled. Sports was a very important part of Curt's life in his youth. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the North Boroughs YMCA Membership For All Fund which allows any child who wishes to participate in youth sports and after school programs to do so regardless of ability to pay.
