Charlene was born to Robert Anthony and Mary Selinshick on September 11, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA. She and her three siblings- Bob, Marian, and Christine- grew up in Perrysville where she attended Perry High School. After graduating, Char began a 40-year career that included jobs at Wilma’s Restaurant in Etna, King’s Restaurant in Fox Chapel, and Heinz Company (later known as River Bend) on the North Side.
Char loved baking and crossword puzzles. The seven layer cookies she created achieved legendary status throughout the North Side of Pittsburgh. She was hardworking and meticulous no matter how big or small a job there was, as many family, friends, and coworkers can attest. Charlene’s love for her family and loyalty to her friends will be sorely missed and not soon forgotten. She left an indelible impression on everyone she met, and we are all blessed to have known her.
She is survived by her son Brian (Vanessa), grandson Devin, sister Marian (John), brother Bob (Barb), sister Christine; also many nieces, nephews, very dear friends, and two special babies who were the highlight of her life, Waverly and Wyatt Werner.
As per Char’s request all services were private.
