Carol (Ringland) Galbreath, age 86 of Central City, Somerset County, most recently residing in her former neighborhood of Ben Avon, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 21, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Channing Galbreath; cherished mother of Cheryl Lynn Huttner and her husband Bruce of Munhall, Valerie June Rice and her husband the late Sgt. Gary Franklin Rice of Huachuca, Arizona, Kirk Allen Galbreath and his wife Karan of Ben Avon and Jeffrey David Galbreath and his wife Kathleen of Pasadena, MD; proud Grandma of Sarah, Rebecca, Catherine, Ian, Christopher, Kendra, Crystal, Katrina and Jason; Great-Grandma of Blake, Alexandria, Ciera, Cayla, Crystal, Christopher and Joshua; Great-Great Grandma of Carter, William and Elizabeth; sister of John Thomas Ringland and the late Stewart M. Ringland and also survived by loving nieces. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon (412-766-5600), where funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 9:00 AM. Carol will then be buried with her late husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
Carol was a member of the Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth and was a great participant in bowling and playing cards. She was a cook for several restaurants during her years from McSorleys, Chics Copper Mug, Mostellers and Adelles. Her family will always remember her as a strong woman who forever remained fair to all. Family suggests memorial donations to Alzehimers Associaton.
