Bernard "Bernie" Joseph Demko Sr., age 84, formerly of Pittsburgh passed away peacefully on Friday September 7, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bernie was born September 19, 1933. Beloved father to Victoria Benson, John Demko, David Demko; loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a significant other Shirley Schmitt.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Laverne, daughter Deborah Schmidt, son Bernard Demko, Jr., and brother Steve "Al" Demko.
Bernie was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and riding his motorcycle.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. (412-364-4444), where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10am. Interment will be at Union Dale Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.brandtfuneralhome.com
