Arthur Pitell

Arthur Pitell, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, age 90 of Ross Township. Loving husband of 53 years to Wilma Pitell. Devoted father of Anthony “Tony” Pitell (Barbara), Dean Pitell (Pamela) and Susan Wallisch (Kurt). Proud Pap-Pap of Julia, Dana, Matthew and Natalie. Brother of Thomas Pitell and the late Jean Vavrina, Jerry Pitell, Mary De Fazio and Angela Yeager. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday at the Heard Funeral Home, Inc., 4047 Perrysville Ave., Observatory Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10 AM at Incarnation of the Lord Parish. Entombment will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Ross Township. Mr. Pitell, a tile setter and owner of the North Hills Tile Company, was the hardest working man many knew, touching the lives of others with the simple lessons in life. His mentorship formed lasting bonds with friends and family throughout his life. He served his Country honorably during WWII as a Torpedoman Third Class in the US Navy.
