A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Odon was an entrepreneur and business owner, operating numerous entities, such as restaurant/bar, real estate, and welding fabrication specialties. Nothing inspired him more than a spirited debate. An avid outdoorsman, he thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a pioneer in aluminum boat building. In his retirement, he constructed a 55 foot shrimp boat named "Mr. Landry" and enjoyed shrimping excursions with family and friends.
He is survived by five children, Dale Landry (Laura), Patricia Settoon (Mertile), David Landry (Kim), Daryl Landry (Vicky), and Paulette Mendler (Jeffrey); eleven grandchildren, Kylie Blanchard (Arthur), Durk Landry, Megan Comstock (Jacob), Lauren Kelley (Trey), Micah Medine (Jared), Taylor Latino (DJ), Chance Landry (Kelsey), Cade Landry (Alyssa), Hannah Mendler, Meredith Mendler and Jackson Mendler; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Jane Comeaux.
He is preceded in death by his devoted loving wife of 68 years, Lois Hebert Landry; seven brothers, Sammy, Elmo, Reno, Dennis, Wilbert, Adeol and Jimmie Landry; and two sisters, Enola Landry and Edith Settoon.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church mausoleum. Father Al Davidson will be officiating.
