Nelson Joseph Dugas

Nelson Joseph Dugas, 82, died on Monday, March 11, 2013 at his home in Pierre Part. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, golfing, and riding his bicycle. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Trabeaux Dugas; daughter, Gisele D. Huckaby; son Kendall Dugas; two grandchildren, Billy Joseph Huckaby and Ryan Jeffery Huckaby and sister, Florice “Bonnie” Barron.

Preceded in death by his parents, Velma Dugas Landry and Clay Dugas; and sister, Irmadelle “Nickie” Dugas Liberto.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Brusly St. Martin Chapel. Entombment to follow in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Mausoleum in Pierre Part.

Family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Glenn Schexnayder, Dr. Vince Cataldo, Jr., Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center, Dr. William Dunn, Dr. Jerry Arais, Medical Assistant Sheree Thibodaux, Jaime, Gloria, Sunny, and Brittany in Radiology, nurses, volunteers, Angela (at front desk) and anyone else at Cancer Center of Thibodaux who were very kind and helpful to Nelson and I that I may have overlooked. Special thanks to our best friends, Gail Crochet and husband Randy, Gloria Landry, and Josephine Landry.
