Nancy Simoneaux Cox

Nancy Simoneaux Cox, a resident of Pierre Part and native of Donaldsonville, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016. She was 62. Nancy loved her family and her grandchildren were her life and joy. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael G. Cox; daughter, Amanda Ann Cox; son and daughter in law, Chris M. Cox and Denise Firneno; sisters, Kathy Palermo (Donald) and Janet Breaux (Don); sisters in law, Daphne “Maw Dee” Penn (Mike) and Hilda Simoneaux; brothers, Howard Simoneaux, Jr. (Sherry); brother in law, Joe Cox (Sybil); her special grandchildren, Tyler Sanchez, Preslie LeBlanc, Jennifer Firneno-Clouden, Elizabeth, Katie, Michael and Matthew Firneno; and her God Children, Mary B. Rodrigue (Scott) and Wayne Palermo, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard, Sr. and Stella Savoy Simoneaux; sister, Sue Simoneaux; brother, Harold Simoneaux; and her father and mother in law, J.B. Cox, Jr. and Galoyce L. Cox. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 8 am until 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church following visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
