Louise Marie Templet, lifelong resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was 80. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved fishing, cooking, going to the casino, music, dancing, and eating crabs. Louise was known for her hard work, being an amazing woman, who was strong in her faith and God. She was honest and true and could be counted on to give it to you straight. Her gumbos and baking made her famous around those who knew her. Even in her darkest hours, she would still worry and pray for others. Louise is survived by her dedicated husband of 66 years, Charles Templet, Sr.; 5 children, Elson and wife Sarah Templet, Debbie and husband Robert “Bobby” Comeaux, Wendy and husband Ronald Hebert, Charles Templet, Jr. and wife Vianna, and Tom Templet, Sr. and wife Mary; sister, Bursie Landry; brothers, Sidney Aucoin and Percy Aucoin and wife Sherry; 22 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Lovince Aucoin; mother and step father, Ida and Abel Hebert; baby sister Aucoin; 3 grandchildren, Ronnie Hebert, Ryan Templet, and Andrea Templet; and a great granddaughter, Kathryn Dupre. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6pm until 10pm and on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 8am until 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph the Worker Church at 11am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Louise blessed her family by leaving them with valuable lessons from her 80 year life: If you ever fished with maw and you lost a fish, she would say “Oh my baby, almost don’t count”; never go to bed angry; or her triple kiss to the forehead; or telling her family, “Never be ashamed of who you are.” We want to thank the staff and doctors at Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center and Assumption Nursing and Rehab for their care. We also want to especially thank all the friends and family who prayed and supported her and her family through this difficult time.
