Jean Rivet Blanchard

Jean, our beloved Ms. Vialle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her family, going to the camp, and relaxing in the sun.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of forty nine years, Adam "Ray" Blanchard; two daughters, Jessica Blanchard Sanchez and Megan Blanchard Alfred (Austin); two grandchildren, Raife Alfred and Ryder Sanchez and her five siblings, Kathleen Gravois, Judy Rivet, Patsy Rivet, Linwood Rivet, and Bruce Rivet.

She is preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Paul Blanchard; two grandchildren, Aiden Blanchard and Ainsley Sanchez; parents, Sylvere and Ethel Rivet and her four siblings, Baby Rivet, Linda Rivet, Charles Rivet, and Mike Rivet.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank Journey Hospice and the entire staff at Ochsner St. Anne.

Pallbearers will be: Linwood Rivet, Bruce Rivet, Austin Alfred, Kevin Sanchez, Benjamin Blanchard, and Nicholas Blanchard. Honorary pallbearers will be: Raife Alfred and Ryder Sanchez.
