EJ served his community with pride. He served as Constable, retired from Police Jury Ward 8 after twenty four years of service, a part time employee for the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office, and retired from Union Local 198.
Edward "EJ" John Alleman Jr., described as a wonderful father by his children, a great pawpaw by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, good friend, loving brother, and loving fiancé.
EJ passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was a native of Paincourtville and resident of Pierre Part. He was born on November 5, 1944 to the late Edward Alleman Sr. and Edna Cedotal Alleman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his four children, Monique Settoon, Stephanie Sedotal (Gregg), Shane Alleman (Sheila), and Danielle Alleman; fiancé Joyce Guillot; seven grandchildren, Gabrielle, Scott Jr. (Michelle), Shanon, Taylor (Audra), Kinlee, Autumn, and Devin; ten great grandchildren, Dylan, Spencer, Jaxen, Jake, Ambre, Audrina, Carter, Ayra, Tucker, and Lux; one sister, Dianne Richard (Dennis); two sisters-in-law, Elaine Johnson and Susan Grier and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of forty eight years, Judy "Chickie" Simoneaux Alleman and his in laws, Joseph "Pete" and Adeline Simoneaux.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial 11:30am with interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
