Edgar was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a people person who loved talking to everyone. Edgar was a proud owner of Alleman's Seafood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and especially spending time with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his eight children, Gerald Alleman, Sr. (Sheila); Gary Alleman, Sr.(Connie), Edgar Alleman, Jr. (Gloria), Gail Richard (Bernard), Grady Alleman (Carla), Eric Alleman (Ann), Melissa Tramonte (Lenny), and Goldie Schexnayder (Neal); twenty-two grandchildren, Misty, Gerald Jr., Shanna, Lacy, Trish, Christy, Gary Jr., Dalton, Shane, Jodi, Todd, Brandon, Hunter, Natalie, Jamie, Abby, Trey, Lydia, Blaine, Reed, Eden, and Maci; thirty-six great grandchildren, Kole, Carter, Paiton, Raegan, Sarah, Abigail, Toni, Cade, Charlie, Sophie, Landon, Lainey, Gracie, Lexi, Braylie, Karver, Clowie, Kaden, Bryce, Hayes, Ann, Greysen, Reece, Aubree, Ava, Lilia, Graham, Cooper, Anna Belle, Colton, Luke, Sam, Emery, Elliott, Emma, and expecting baby Clay; three great-great grandchildren, Jane, Josie, and expecting baby Niklaus; and one brother-in-law, Norris Dupuis.
He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Anna Belle Blanchard Alleman; one great grandchild, Emery Tramonte; parents, Edward and Claire Daigle Alleman; eleven siblings, Horace Alleman, Clotilde Dupuis, Nellie Blanchard, Mabel Ourso, Oscar Alleman, Edward Alleman, Emile Alleman, Sidney Alleman, Spalding Alleman, Gladys Dupuis, and Sylvester Alleman.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 7am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
