Dennis Paul Landry Sr.

Dennis Paul Landry, Sr, 95, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. Dennis was born on August 27, 1927. He was a native and resident of Pierre Part, LA. He was a loving husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Dennis was a retired dredge boat captain. He was a great craftsman, building cypress rockers and swings and love tending to his garden.

He leaves behind to cherish in his memory his wife of sixty-eight years, Doris Richard Landry: three children; Lena Crochet (Reed), Dennis Landry, Jr (Bonnie) and Jena Aucoin (Rusty); Ten grandchildren, Jacob Crochet, Trisha Barbier (Benny), Sara Crochet, Dustin Landry (Meagan), Angele Sons (Ronnie), Brock Pipsair, Chaz Pipsair (Sydni), Michael Ourso (Alyssa), Rylee Aucoin, and Avree Aucoin; 11 great grandchildren; One brother Odon Landry (Lois) and one sister Mary Jane Comeaux.

He is preceded in death by his two daughters Donna Landry Ourso and Lisa Marie Landry, his parents Rodolph and Inez Sedotal Landry. Siblings; Sammy Landry Sr, Elmo Landry, Reno Landry, Enola Landry, Edith Settoon, Wilbert Landry Sr., Joseph Adeol Landry, and Jimmie Landry.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA on September 29, 2022 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with an interment to follow in the church mausoleum.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and thanks to his special caregivers, Joy, Gail, Phyllis and Pam and the caregivers at Chateau D’ville and New Century Hospice.
