Born in Belle River, LA, he is preceded in death by his parents the late Adley Sr. and Margie P. Richard as well as his brothers, Adley Richard Jr. and Frank Richard.
He was a graduate of Morgan City High School and went on to attend Nicholls State University and Southern University Law School.
He is survived by his loving godchildren, Andrea Gros Billeaud and Brandon Gaudet.
Ashley had a brilliant mind and an even bigger heart. He was a loving son, brother, friend, and godparent, but his most treasured title was "Nonkie."
A memorial gathering will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
