Alvin Peter Cedotal, a native of Belle Rose, and a resident of Pierre Part passed away Tuesday August 5,2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 79. He was retired from Dow Chemical after 38 years of service, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 7, 2014, 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Friday August 8, 2014, 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 8, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, with Rev. Al Davidson, celebrant.
Entombment will be in the St. Joseph the Worker Mausoleum, under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; Margie Templet Cedotal, 2 daughters; Keri Richard and husband Kurt, Leah Carbonell and husband Joseph, 2 sons; Keith Cedotal and wife Robyn, Scott Cedotal and wife Jennifer, 1 sister; Janice Hernandez Schexnayder and husband Irving “Mike”, 1 brother; Hubert Cedotal, Jr. and wife Karen, 9 grandchildren; Chad Cedotal, Rose Carbonell, Elizabeth Carbonell, Koty Cedotal, Jessica Cedotal, Mason Carbonell, Cameron Cedotal, Kole Richard, Kyle Richard, 3 great grandchildren; Riley, Madelyn and Greyson.
Pallbearers will be; Keith Cedotal, Chad Cedotal, Koty Cedotal, Cameron Cedotal, Mason Carbonell, Joey Carbonell, Raymond Foret, Kole Richard, Kyle Richard.
Mr. Cedotal was preceded in death by his parents; Hubert Cedotal, Sr. and Maude Theriot Cedotal, a sister; Betty Ann Cedotal, a brother-in-law ; Dale Hernandez, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Ulysse and Ozelia “Toot Toot” Templet.
