The first time I met Ro I was a 13 year old visiting her friend at her house on Cravell. We were hanging out on the front porch when this long haired guy in jeans, a hoodie and Van's road up on his bike. My friend had a major crush on him and I instantly saw why.  I was drawn to his wonderful personality.  He had a special way of making situations light and fun. He had a gift of making fun of you in a way that never felt critical. It actually had the opposite effect. We had many a laugh at my expense but I loved it. 

He's been my good friend during  my sorrows and my joys. Always a gentleman.... A true friends in every sense of the word. 

As many are, I'm extremely sad that I won't get to share any more laughs with my wonderful friend but I'm glad I got to know him and we share many great memories together.  

I love you forever Rog.

I had the great pleasure of coaching Rogelio at RBA. He was a pleasure to coach. He was one if our star pitchers. Rogelio had an infectious smile and was always ready to laugh. 

RIP Rogelio.  My heartfelt condolences goes out to the whole Lopez family. 

A Good Man is gone way too soon When I was a young man in the Pico Scene and ran into Ro he was always cool to me even though I'm a few years younger always treated me  with respect and took the time to say What's up or How are you and when I would see him at the park same thing never heard him say a bad thing about anyone and always looked Happy  with a smile wich in this world sometimes people just dont but he always did and anytime when I was young and leaving The Chacon house across the street he always took the time to says what's up Big Ed. He was truly a good Person and that's a Great thing May God Welcome you into Paradise with open arms and Love were there is no more Pain. We use to love Rogers high Truck and how he would pick up our comadre Lilly at MERVYNS.   Imagine Lilly and a step ladder trying to climb upto the front seat.  and to get off.  OMG..  she would call for a ride and Roger was there, I think he enjoyed the struggle and laughs all the way to and from picking her up.    Another awesome memory is the back and forth conversations about the Yankees and the Dodgers and then our god daughter Amanda would have his back and would get real interesting.    Roger, i'm sure you've made a truck out a couple of clouds and have Comadre Lilly in the front seat.   Rest in Peace brother.


I  remember Saturday nights picking me  in his truck I would be waiting for him hoping robert not in there so I could ride shotgun but sometimes I rode cherry but it didn't matter just kicking it with ro was a awesome  but the best time was when me ro and mitch and pablo was driving man it was a very interesting trip to san Luis Mexico I could go on and on but I just love that I kick it with him going to miss him I tell all my friends that I meet about the adventures we had love u Eddie ,Lethie , and Mauricio and all of the lopez families and I mean all of them and there's alot of them love u guys art san miguel
