Guadalupe Moreno

Guadalupe “Mem” Moreno was born on November 8th, 1943, in Falfurrias, Texas to Gustavo Trevino and Ninfa Gallegos. Mem passed away on May 21st, 2024, at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, CA. She was 81 years old.

Mem was proceeded by her parents and siblings: Estella Vela, Oscar Trevino, Silvano Trevino, Gilberto Trevino and Rodolfo Trevino; and her sons Victor Hernandez, Jesse Hernandez, Homer Hernandez and David Hernandez.

Mem is survived by her husband Fernando Moreno; her siblings: Israel Trevino Sr, Isauro Trevino Sr, Ninfa Cavazos and Gustavo Trevino Jr; her children: Virma Alvarez, Marcus Hernandez, Lora Hernandez and Veronica Munoz. Mem was also a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mem and Fernando were married in 2003 but were together for a total of 51 years. She was a foundational piece of our family, prided herself in each member, and found the most joy in spending time with them. She was an unmatched poker player, loved music and had a major sweet tooth. She is known to everyone for her strength, resiliency, and stubbornness. Her presence will be deeply missed by all, and she will be reminisced every day.
