Mrs. Fishel was born in Greenville County on August 13, 1936 to the late Shirley and Ruth Mull Kelly. A devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she always made sure that she had time for her family throughout the years. Mrs. Fishel loved collecting antiques and growing flowers. She and Stephen also enjoyed traveling, especially up and down the east coast, and out west. Mrs. Fishel was a devoted Christian, and she always started her mornings was with a time of devotional, then enjoyed the preaching from Dr. David Jeremiah. She was an active member of White Plains Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a leader in the Jewel Club, and sent cards out to the homebound members.
In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Fishel is survived by her four children: Kelly Nations (Linda) of Piedmont, Neal Nations (Lisa) of Piedmont, Robert Stephen Fishel of Walkertown, NC, and Stephanie Renee Fishel of Woodstock, GA; and a grandchild: Landon Nations of Piedmont.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fishel was preceded in death by a son: James Steven Nations; and a granddaughter: Angela Nations.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Tuesday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.
