Susan was born on October 19, 1953 in Carbondale, Illinois to the late Morris Phemister and Claire Bradbery. She loved her family more than anything and was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She enjoyed being outdoors, flowers, and going to the beach or the lake. Susan loved to have fun with her friends and play bridge with her bridge club. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 49 years: Lynn Duvall of Pickens; her mother: Claire Bradbery (Bobby) of Honea Path; one son: Jay Duvall (Jessica) of Greenville; one daughter: Stephanie Hedge (Joel) of Greenville; and five grandchildren: Isabelle "Izzy" Duvall, Ellison "Ellie" Duvall, Jackson Hedge, Lawson Hedge, and Harrison Hedge.
In addition to her father, Susan is preceded in death by her loving grandmother: Jenny "Nannie" Ide Smith.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:15 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the Chapel at Dillard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
A private committal service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
