

Through his 78 years of life, he faithfully served his country and his Savior. He retired after 30 years from the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 after serving two tours in Vietnam. He later retired from the US Postal Service. Ron received the Lord as his Savior at the age of 29. He served in many capacities in the ministry throughout his many duty stations and later served as a Pastor. Most recently he has been a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church serving in roles on the pulpit committee, as a deacon and a faithful member.
He was born in Waynesboro, Virginia to the late Richard and Ina Wiseman. He joined the military out of high school and raised his family all over the world.
Of all the titles he held, his most cherished were “Honeybun, Dad, Papa and Great Papa”.
He is survived by his wife Myra of 55 years. Three children Heather Hatchett (Brian), Shane Wiseman (Stephanie) and Dusty Holbrooks (Scott). He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Justin Howard (Miles) of Atlanta, Samantha Wiseman of Cincinnati, Kaitlyn Hatchett of Piedmont and Nick Wiseman of Cincinnati. He is also survived by a great granddaughter May-Belle of Piedmont.
A visitation for Ron will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3931 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with a committal service to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC.
